Why is advertising…..
Every piece of advertising turns the attention of the readers or the listeners or the viewers or the onlookers towards a product or a service or an idea. It can be said that anything that turns the attention to an article or a service or an idea might well be called as advertising.
As business of advertising agency has mostly developed in America, the history of American agencies can be considered to be the history of advertising agencies in the world. The emergence growth and expansion of the American market can be clearly identified from the four demarcated periods such as –period of earlier growth, the wholesaling period, the semi service period and the service period.
New York holds the fourth position among the top ten advertising agencies in the world. There are two great masters who are served by the advertising agencies namely the clients and the media owners. Clients always have the urge to capture new markets and to widen their existing markets. Whereas the motive of the media owners is to capture and widen their veiwership. As the latter is considered they can achieve their aim only if quality programs are telecasted. From the point of view of business world it is the quality of advertisement and the presentation style that brings in popularity to the channel or media. With this focal point the client as well as the media is more concerned about the quality of models which has increased the modeling opportunities in New York and such metropolitan cities.
